Born in Athens, Greece to an Air Force family and raised across the globe, Teri M. Brown turned a lifelong love of words into a powerhouse writing career. A UNC Greensboro graduate, she first conquered nonfiction with five acclaimed real-estate and finance books, then pivoted to fiction after winning the 2017 Anita Bloom Ornoff Award. Since 2022, Teri has unleashed a torrent of award-winning historical novels:
Sunflowers Beneath the Snow (2022) – 12 awards, a gripping tale set in Ukraine
An Enemy Like Me (2023) – a staggering 27 awards, WWII from the enemy’s side
Daughters of Green Mountain Gap (2024) – already 5 awards, Appalachian healers across generations
Her short story “The Youngest Lighthouse Keeper” appears in the anthology Feisty Deeds (2024), and 2025 brings two bold new voices: the inspirational memoir 10 Little Rules for a Double-Butted Adventure (Feb 2025), born from crossing America on a tandem bicycle, and the heartwarming children’s book Little Lola and Her Big Dream, teaching kids to chase giant dreams no matter who says no. Wife, mom, grandma, ballroom dancer, bridge shark, bargain hunter, beach bum, and shower soloist, Teri lives to mentor writers and ignite big dreams in everyone she meets.
