Born and raised in Southtown, San Diego, California, Southbay Mike has lived a life marked by resilience, creativity, and faith. After overcoming significant health challenges—including a battle with cancer—he found strength and purpose through family, music, and ministry. A longtime friend to Sonny Sandoval of P.O.D., he toured and worked with the band for many years, gaining deep insight into life on the road and the power of music to heal and unite.
A tattoo artist with over 38 years of experience, he is also a dedicated pastor, husband of 28 years to Claudia, and proud father to Azariah, 18. His next chapter includes co-producing and appearing in OffPoint TV, a bold new project with Sonny Sandoval that explores raw, real conversations at the intersection of culture, faith, and authenticity.
